Research & Hope
We find options so you find answers
When someone you love has a stroke, you may feel disbelief, confusion, panic and an overriding sense of helplessness. The Research & Hope website shows you what to do, where to go and how to find help. We offer you clear information, support, a balanced view and, above all, we offer you hope.
You can use this website to find clinically tested stroke treatments that might improve the speech, movement, mood or cognitive ability of a stroke survivor. There are so many stroke rehabilitation treatments to choose from. At the very least, the process of trying out a treatment that makes sense to you can give you and your loved one an ongoing reason to remain positive and to avoid slipping into the dark depression that often follows this cruel disease.
Although all treatments on our website have undergone clinical trials, most of them are not routinely offered by doctors during stroke recovery. We strongly recommend that you discuss all of your treatment choices with a qualified doctor before you start, as we do not provide medical advice.
In the dark days that follow a devastating stroke, Research & Hope exchanges helplessness for action and replaces despair with hope.
